Applications

Data Centre Applications

Service continuity, optimised system architecture, minimised losses and PUE, modular busbar for future expansion and reduced footprint.

Design focus

Modular busbar trunking to allow future data centre expansion.

Variable-configuration tap-off boxes for server rooms and high tap-off frequency.

Tap-off installation with the line energised and reduced maintenance costs.

Open-channel distribution in the white space

In data halls, distribution to the racks is handled by the E-Line KD busbar: an open channel running along the cabinet rows onto which plug-in tap-off boxes are fitted with the line energised. Moves, adds and changes (MAC) are carried out without interrupting power, with integrated energy metering on every tap-off and supply to non-standard cabinet rows as well.

Service continuity and monitoring

The main feeders from the transformer room to the UPS and distribution boards are built with E-Line KX, with monobloc joints tightened under control and redundant A/B architectures. The E-Line TMS system continuously monitors joint and enclosure temperature, anticipating anomalies and reducing unplanned interventions; the lower losses of busbar compared with cables help to contain PUE.

From design to commissioning

EAE Italia supports the designer and the general contractor from the initial configuration: site surveys, BIM/Revit models with the E-Line libraries, E-Line Seismic anti-seismic supports, staggered deliveries by construction phase and commissioning support. LED lighting for technical rooms and corridors completes a supply coordinated by a single partner.
