What cable trays are

Cable trays are metal or composite structures that house, support and protect electrical cables along their installation route, from civil to industrial, marine and infrastructure plants.

EAE has manufactured cable trays since 1970 with roll forming technology on fully automated lines. The range covers 11 lines for every need: from standard to heavy loads, from standard to corrosive environments, up to GRP and aluminium versions for special applications.

Types

Types of cable trays

By finish

  • Pre-galvanised (EN 10143 / EN 10346) — standard applications, indoor environments
  • Hot-dip galvanised (EN ISO 1461) — outdoors, damp environments, long life
  • Epoxy painted — additional protection and colour customisation
  • 316L stainless steel — corrosive environments, food & beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical

By material

  • Steel — standard solution, excellent mechanical strength
  • Aluminium (6063-T6 marine-grade alloy) — lightness + corrosion resistance
  • GRP (fibreglass) — chemical and fire resistance, aggressive environments
  • Electro-galvanised wire — wire mesh, flexible and light routes

Advantages

  • Tidy installations and traceable cable routes
  • Easier maintenance: cables accessible at any point
  • Mechanical load resistance (including heavy duty: up to 4000 N/m)
  • Certified fire resistance (E30, E60, E90)
  • Fast installation: standard lengths 3000/6000 mm and a wide range of accessories
  • Adaptable to different environments: industrial, civil, marine, food
